I’m an Art Director/3D Artist with a lifelong passion for game development. My professional career started in 2005 when to follow my passion I decided to move to the Netherlands to work as 2D/3D Artists at Streamline Studios; a digital content provider for the video games industry. During the following years I had the opportunity to work on very exciting titles such as Gears of War and Unreal Tournament 3, learning a lot in the process and slowly taking on more responsibility first as Lead Artist and then Art Director.
In 2010 I decided to move back to Italy to create my own studio and that’s when I co-founded Forge Studios in Rome. For the next four years I dedicated myself to building the foundations for a successful outsourcing company that could be known in the games industry as a reliable, high-end quality partner. As CEO and Art director, my responsibility involved not only the art direction of the studio projects but also business development and client relationships. While at Forge Studios we successfully completed multiple AAA projects, some of which are: Crysis 2, Crysis 3, League of Legends and Ryse: Son of Rome.
Beginning of 2014 I moved back to my hometown, Catania, where I joined venture to create my own game development company: Rimlight Studios. This new journey has allowed me to explore the full development cycle of a video game and expand my knowledge not only on the art side but also on the management and business aspects of game development. After successfully releasing our first title ZHEROS on Xbox One and PC I’m now looking ahead for the next big challenge that will allow me to continue pursuing my passion for video games and keep improving my skills.
